Red cabbage with spiced vinegar
Ingredients for Red cabbage with spiced vinegar
- 1 kg of red cabbage
- 1l of red wine vinegar
- 10 grains of black pepper
- 4 bay leaves
- 6 cloves.
Preparation
- Wash the red cabbage, remove the outer leaves, cut into 4 and remove the larger ribs.
- Finally cut them very thin.
- Put the cabbage in a large bowl and cover with salt, mix well and leave to rest overnight.
- The next day drain it and dry it from the salt.
- Pour the wine vinegar and spices into a thick-bottomed saucepan, bring to a boil for 3 minutes and then remove from the heat, then divide the cabbage strips between the jars and cover with vinegar, close and protect from light.
